EPISODE CONTEXT
Episode 8 serves as the climax of the Orange Town Arc, bringing the Buggy the Clown conflict that began around episode 4 to a decisive head. It wraps up one of Luffy's earliest real tests as a captain and marks a turning point as the Straw Hats prepare to leave Orange Town behind. From here, the crew moves toward new encounters and alliances that will continue building out the East Blue saga's foundation.
