EPISODE CONTEXT
As the series premiere of a 12-episode mystery, this episode prioritizes breadth over depth — its job is to plant seeds, introduce the ensemble cast, and establish the occult-infused world these characters inhabit. Nothing precedes it, but nearly every character introduction and seemingly disconnected thread here will become critical as the season's central mystery takes shape.
