Nana to Kaoru
Oshimeter
Synopsis
At 17, high school guy Kaoru nurses a private obsession: S&M gear he keeps carefully hidden from everyone, especially his next-door neighbor and childhood friend Nana, who is basically the school's golden girl — student council, perfect grades, the whole package. They used to be close, but years of drifting into different social circles have left things awkward between them. Then Kaoru's mom, in a fit of tidying up, hands a box of his S&M stuff to Nana for safekeeping without knowing what's inside. Nana finds a leather outfit, tries it on out of curiosity, and gets locked into it without the key. Now she has to go to Kaoru for help, which kicks off a very strange, very uncomfortable reconnection between two people who had almost forgotten they knew each other. The tone is comedic and genuinely a bit goofy — this is not trying to be dark or heavy. It leans into the absurdity of the situation and uses it to explore how these two characters slowly rediscover their dynamic. It is a single OVA episode, so the setup is really just an introduction to the premise. If you have read or enjoyed manga like Nozoki Ana or Sundome, the overall flavor here will feel familiar — awkward intimacy, comedy rooted in embarrassment, and just enough heat to keep things interesting without going fully explicit.
