EPISODE CONTEXT
Following Miaka's fever-driven collapse in episode four, this installment uses the recovery arc as a pressure cooker for the love polygon forming among the core cast. It's still early in the 52-episode run — the Celestial Warriors are far from fully assembled — but this episode establishes the emotional stakes and relationship fractures that will ripple through everything ahead. It directly sets up the group's pursuit of Taiitsukun and signals that character allegiances will be tested as much by personal feelings as by external threats.
