EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off the tension of Naoshi Usui's unsettling introduction in episode 4, episode 5 pivots away from that external threat to give Miyo space for personal growth and her deepening bond with Kaoruko. Sitting at the season's midpoint, this introspective breather functions as essential character groundwork before the consequences of Usui's actions escalate in the back half. It's the calm before what the season is clearly building toward.
