Coming directly off Episode 118's tension-raising introduction of Baramo, Episode 119 intentionally decelerates — using the breathing room to develop the bond between Akumi and Shiori before the story pushes forward again. It functions as a connective bridge between that external conflict and Episode 120, 'Legend of Rorerai,' which is set to expand the world with new mythical lore. At episode 119 of 172, the series is deep in its final third, making character-grounding moments like this one increasingly meaningful.
