EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off Episode 35, 'Vanished Commander,' which shook the team's internal stability, this episode pushes further into uncertain territory by questioning the nature of the enemy itself. At Episode 36 of 51, Raijin-Oh is deep in its second half, where the series begins complicating the clear-cut heroics of its earlier arcs. This installment plants seeds of moral nuance that will carry into subsequent episodes as the Defense Class continues to reexamine what justice actually demands of them.
