Major S3
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Built entirely around baseball, Gorou Honda's whole life comes crashing down when someone actively poisons his reputation across every school with a decent team. His only option is Seishuu High, a former all-girls school that just went co-ed and has exactly zero male baseball players. So he builds a team from scratch, recruiting seven guys who barely know which end of the bat to hold. That's the setup for Season 3 of Major, and it works because Gorou isn't some chosen prodigy coasting on talent — he's just relentlessly, almost irrationally determined, and watching him drag a group of raw beginners toward something real is genuinely satisfying. The baseball here is taken seriously, with actual strategy and technique rather than vague power-ups, which gives every win and loss real weight. The underdog arc is earned, not manufactured. If you've been watching Ace of Diamond or Cross Game and want something with a longer character journey stretched across multiple seasons, Major delivers that continuity in a way most sports anime don't bother with. And if you liked One Outs for its focused, no-nonsense approach to the sport, this scratches a similar itch while being more emotionally grounded. Twenty-six episodes, a team built from nothing, and one very stubborn pitcher who refuses to quit.
