Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc.

Synopsis
Stick a corporate logo on the magical girl genre and see what happens. Kana Sakuragi is a college grad who can't land a job to save her life — she's been through interview after interview with nothing to show for it. Then a monster called a Kaii attacks during one of her interviews, and she ends up helping out a magical girl from a tiny startup called Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. Turns out, in this world, being a magical girl is just a job. There are over five hundred companies doing it, complete with contracts, clients, and corporate hierarchies. Kana gets hired on the spot for her quick thinking, and suddenly she's navigating both monster extermination and the realities of working at a scrappy small business trying to compete with industry giants. The 12-episode TV series from J.C.Staff nails this weird balance between genuine action sequences and workplace comedy that has no right working as well as it does. It's less about dramatic transformations and more about figuring out expense reports while also learning combat spells. If you liked the way Puella Magi Madoka Magica reframed what being a magical girl actually means, this does something similar but trades the existential dread for office dynamics. Fans of A Certain Magical Index who want something lighter with adult characters holding down real jobs will find a lot to like here. The adult cast angle keeps it grounded — these aren't teenagers saving the world, they're employees clocking in.
