π SYNOPSIS
"Madlax" follows the parallel lives of two women: Madlax, a mercenary operating in the war-torn country of Gazth-Sonika, and Margaret Burton, who enjoys a quiet life in the peaceful nation of Nafrece. Madlax's exceptional combat abilities are almost supernatural, while Margaret's existence is seemingly ordinary. Despite their contrasting circumstances, a mysterious connection binds them. This connection is further complicated by a holy book, the object of desire for the shadowy organization known as Anfan. The anime explores themes of fate, mystery, and the potential consequences of uncovering hidden truths.
