This is a remastered version of the original Lupin III pilot film, initially produced in 1978. The film underwent a re-photographing process, utilizing cinemascope, and was re-dubbed for its theatrical release. Its purpose was to be screened in cinemas before the first movie, "Mamoo's 1st copy." Later, in 1989, this remastered pilot film was included in the Lupin III - Secret File OVA, providing a glimpse into the early visual style and presentation of the franchise. The film showcases the initial introduction of the characters and the world of Lupin III.
