EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off the confrontation with Nero in episode three, this episode pulls back from the supernatural violence to examine Shiki's home life and the fractures within the Tohno family. At the one-third mark of a 12-episode series, it's doing essential groundwork — establishing Akiha, Kohaku, and Hisui as key players whose relationships with Shiki will carry increasing weight as the mystery deepens in the episodes ahead.
