Lord of Lords Ryu Knight: Adeu's Legend Final
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Adeu is a young knight making his mark in Earthtia, a world where chivalry is serious business and giant mecha called Ryu units are how you prove your worth. He's got the ambition, the spirit, and just enough recklessness to make things interesting. Alongside him are Princess Paffy, a ninja named Sarutobi, and a priest called Izumi — a group that sounds like the setup to a joke, and honestly, sometimes plays like one. This single-episode OVA wraps up the Adeu's Legend Final arc from the broader Ryu Knight series, so it lands with the weight of a proper sendoff rather than a throwaway side story. The chibi-style art keeps everything feeling loose and playful, and the mecha designs have this unusual blend of knightly armor and mechanical muscle that you don't see much elsewhere. The tone sits somewhere between earnest fantasy adventure and light parody — it pokes fun at the genre without losing its heart. If you grew up with Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru or Madou King Granzort, this hits a very similar note: colorful worlds, scrappy heroes, and mechs with personality. Fans of Yuusha Raideen who want something less serious would also find familiar ground here. At one episode, it asks almost nothing from you, but rewards anyone who has a soft spot for late-90s Sunrise doing fantasy mecha with a grin on its face.
