Let This Grieving Soul Retire Cour 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
From top to bottom, Krai Andrey is a fraud — or at least, he's completely convinced it is. As a Level 8 treasure hunter and leader of the elite party Grieving Souls in the kingdom of Zebrudia, he's got a reputation that would make seasoned adventurers jealous. The problem is every bit of it is built on misunderstandings. He says something offhand, it accidentally comes true, and everyone around him takes it as proof of his genius-level foresight. He just wants to retire and live a quiet life, but his party members keep pulling off incredible feats that raise the bar even higher. This second season, an 11-episode TV series from Zero-G airing in 2025, picks up where the first left off — Krai's still trapped in his own legend, and the situations only get more ridiculous. The fantasy world has some genuinely cool locations, like the High-Mobility Fortress City Code, and the action sequences deliver when they need to. But the real draw is watching Krai desperately try to wriggle out of expectations while accidentally cementing his legacy even further. If you liked Konosuba's blend of fantasy and comedy built around a reluctant protagonist, or the dungeon-crawling energy of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon, this scratches a similar itch. Fans of The Rising of the Shield Hero's underdog angle will find something to latch onto here too, though the tone leans way more comedic. It's a fun ride for anyone who enjoys watching someone fail upward in spectacular fashion.
