EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off Episode 3's encouraging progress where Sawako began genuinely connecting with classmates after school, Episode 4 introduces the first real threat to those relationships through circulating rumors and misunderstandings. This is an early-season turning point—only four episodes in out of twenty-five, it establishes that Sawako's journey won't be a smooth upward climb. It directly sets up Episode 5, 'Determination,' where the characters must confront the fallout and decide whether their bonds are worth fighting for.
