📖 SYNOPSIS
"Kawaru Machi, Kawareru Machi, Ishinomaki feat. Jun" is an animated short film directed by Takuya Inaba. It draws inspiration from Shotaro Ishinomori's semi-autobiographical and wordless manga, "Jun: Shotaro no Fantasy World." The film was created by the Ishinomori Manga Museum as a tribute to Ishinomori's work and his hometown of Ishinomaki. The project also serves as a commemoration of the ongoing rebuilding and recovery efforts in Ishinomaki following the devastating Tohoku earthquake and tsunami of March 2011. The short aims to capture the spirit of resilience and hope within the community.
