📖 SYNOPSIS
"Kakuza Tousan" is a stop-motion animated comedy-drama set in the Meiji era, featuring a cast of sugar cube people. The series focuses on Kakuza, a father who is easily overcome by his emotions, especially when it comes to his 37-year-old daughter, Touko. Each time a new fiancé attempts to ask for his blessing, Kakuza's anxieties and fears about losing his daughter surface. He grapples with these feelings, even though his late wife's final wish was for Touko to find happiness and become a bride. The show's release was notably irregular, and the title eventually evolved to "Kakugen! Kakuza Tousan" during its serialization.
