EPISODE CONTEXT
Sitting at the exact midpoint of the twelve-episode season, this episode pivots from the earlier gambles that established Yumeko and Mary's positions within Hyakkaou Academy to a more dangerous phase of confrontation with Student Council power players. The preceding episodes built the rules and stakes of this world; 'Tempting Woman' introduces a wildcard antagonist who escalates the personal risk for Yumeko considerably. It sets the stage for the back half of the season, where the academy's power hierarchy becomes the central battleground.
