📖 SYNOPSIS
Set in 1882, "Judo Story" follows Sanshirou's journey to Tokyo in search of a skilled martial arts teacher. His quest leads him to Yano, a judo master whose impressive display of skill, including defeating 39 jujitsu practitioners, immediately earns Sanshirou's respect and loyalty. Sanshirou becomes Yano's disciple, dedicating himself to the practice of judo. Simultaneously, Sanshirou finds himself captivated by Sayo Murai, the daughter of a martial arts instructor affiliated with the local police. However, his path is complicated by Higaki Gennosuke, a formidable jujitsu fighter who becomes Sanshirou's greatest rival. The anime explores themes of martial arts mastery, rivalry, and the complexities of love within a historical setting.
