Synopsis

For five years, Yuke Feldio served as the punching bag of an A-rank adventurer party called Thunder Pike. Red mage, jack of all trades, treated like the group handyman while everyone else got the glory. So he quits. No drama, no big speech—he just walks away. And then, almost immediately, he runs into his former students: Marina, a magic swordswoman; Silk, a ranger and spiritualist; and Rain, a quiet monk-mage. They've formed their own little party called Clover, and they need a leader. Yuke steps in, and suddenly all those skills that Thunder Pike dismissed start looking pretty extraordinary when he's actually allowed to use them properly. This is a 24-episode TV series from Bandai Namco Pictures, and it settles into a comfortable rhythm of dungeon crawling, party dynamics, and Yuke gradually revealing just how strong he actually is. The red mage power system gives the fights some real variety—he's not just blasting things with one spell on repeat. There's a harem angle with the all-female party, and the romance leans more sweet than awkward, which helps. Go Sakabe's soundtrack does solid work mixing orchestral swells with more modern beats during the action sequences. If you liked Beast Tamer or Got Kicked Out of the Hero's Party, this hits a very similar note—underappreciated guy finds a better team that actually values him. It's not reinventing anything, but the mentor-student dynamic and the dungeon depth progression give it enough of its own identity to feel worthwhile.
