EPISODE CONTEXT
After the frantic school escape in Episodes 1-2, Episode 3 marks a critical pivot point — expanding the threat from local nightmare to confirmed global catastrophe and introducing Koichi Shido as a catalyst for internal conflict. This episode establishes the group dynamics and trust issues that will define the survivors' journey through the remaining nine episodes. It sets the foundation for the series' dual-threat structure: zombies outside, human darkness within.
