Happy Heroes: Multiverse Rescue

Over the course of more than a decade and multiple seasons of the Happy Heroes franchise, a team of five robot heroes has been protecting a planet called Planet Xing. In this 2024 movie, things go sideways when the team gets split up across parallel worlds, and Careful S. and Kalo have to lead a rescue mission through the multiverse to bring everyone back together. Each alternate dimension throws different rules and obstacles at them, which keeps things moving at a solid pace for a kids' movie. The visual style is kind of interesting — 2D characters animated over 3D environments, which gives it a look that stands out from your typical Chinese animated film. There's also a fun crossover moment where Wolffy from Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf shows up, which is basically the equivalent of a post-credits cameo in a Marvel movie for Chinese animation fans. The tone stays light and comedic even during the action sequences, so it works well if you're watching with younger siblings or just want something easygoing.
