馃摉 SYNOPSIS
Set in Kyoto, the OVA follows Chizuru Yukimura and the Shinsengumi as they navigate a period of unrest. The Shinsengumi, now stationed at Nishi Honganji Temple, are tasked with protecting the visiting Shogun Iemochi while also dealing with bandits impersonating their name. Simultaneously, several rasetsu escape, aided by someone resembling Chizuru, and Chizuru herself disappears while in the city with Sakai.
The Satsuma domain receives intelligence about a potential assassination plot against the Shogun orchestrated by Tosa domain ronin, prompting Kazama and others to head to Kyoto. As the Shogun's arrival draws near, Hijikata and the Shinsengumi must unravel the connections between these various incidents. The OVA explores themes of loyalty, duty, and the struggle for survival amidst political intrigue and escalating violence.
