EPISODE CONTEXT
Picking up immediately after Simon and Kamina's breakthrough to the surface in episode 1, this episode expands the world by introducing allies and establishing the Beastmen threat that will drive the series forward. It's foundational worldbuilding disguised as high-octane action, assembling the core team and setting the trajectory for the escalating battles and team expansion across the first major arc. At episode 2 of 27, this is still very much the launch — but the momentum is already unmistakable.
