EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off Episode 4's deeper commitment to Funeral Parlor, Episode 5 is the necessary bridge where Shu transforms from reluctant bystander to active participant, solidifying group dynamics that will matter for the rest of the season. It directly sets the stage for the Leukocyte mission in Episode 6, raising the tension by establishing just how unprepared — and how determined — Shu really is. At roughly the quarter mark of 22 episodes, this is the series laying foundational character work before its first major operational arc.
