Green Makibao centers on Midori Makibao, a white racehorse whose appearance sets him apart; he resembles a donkey more than a thoroughbred. Initially struggling to debut due to his looks and other disadvantages, Makibao possesses immense speed and unwavering determination. He enters the world of horse racing with a clear goal: to defeat his lifelong rival, Superhorse Cascade.
