EPISODE CONTEXT
Following the conclusion of the Kusanagi storyline in episode 8, this marks the beginning of the Otsu Arc, shifting the Slip Arc's tone back toward pure comedy. Sitting at episode 9 of 13, this is part of the back half of the season, which continues the Porori-hen tradition of standalone comedic arcs sandwiched between the heavier narrative beats of Gintama's broader story. The Otsu Arc is expected to continue into subsequent episodes before the season wraps up.
