EPISODE CONTEXT
Arriving at the midpoint of the season, 'Poker Face' is a 'Dividual' standalone — a deliberate step back from the Individual Eleven investigation that reached a grim crescendo in the preceding episode 'Face.' Rather than advancing the central conspiracy, it expands the series' character depth before the next standalone, 'Afternoon of the Machines,' shifts focus to the Tachikomas. Together, these episodes form a brief narrative breather that enriches the world before the second half of the season tightens its grip on the main arc.
