EPISODE CONTEXT
Arriving roughly a fifth of the way through this 100-episode run, Episode 22 pivots from Episode 21's lighter, romance-tinged yōkai tale to a sharper exploration of mistrust and deception within the group. It reinforces the series' episodic flexibility while laying thematic groundwork for later arcs that increasingly blur the line between ally and enemy in the yōkai world.
