GaoGaiGar Final
Oshimeter
Synopsis
With Earth saved from an alien empire and two years behind them, the Gutsy Galaxy Guard is back — but this time the enemy isn't some cosmic invader. It's BioNet, a criminal organization trafficking in stolen technology, and they've got something GGG desperately needs: Q-Parts, machines with near-miraculous regenerative capabilities. Guy Shishioh returns piloting GaoFighGar, a serious upgrade from what fans of the original TV series will remember, and GGG teams up with Chasseur, a French counterpart agency with their own complicated history. One of Chasseur's operatives is Renais Cardiff Shishioh — a former BioNet cyborg who lost her humanity to the very people she's now hunting. That personal vendetta adds real weight to what could've just been another mecha action setup. Then things get stranger when a familiar face from GGG's past reappears under circumstances nobody can fully explain, and suddenly the stakes feel much bigger than one criminal organization. This is an 8-episode OVA from Sunrise, and it moves fast — dense with lore, big transformations, and an orchestral score that treats every battle like it matters. If you grew up on Mazinkaiser or loved the unapologetic emotional intensity of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, this scratches a very specific itch. It's unabashedly earnest about heroes, sacrifice, and fighting for the people you love — and it pulls that off without feeling naive.
