For Souma Yukihira, cooking has always been a contact sport, and Tootsuki Culinary Academy is his arena. The culinary battles are genuinely creative, mixing real technique with over-the-top presentation that somehow never feels cheap. And yeah, clothes explode off people when the food is good. That's the ecchi element, and it's played for comedy more than anything. If you liked the competitive energy of Yakitate!! Japan or the underdog cooking spirit of Cooking Master Boy, this scratches the same itch but with sharper animation and higher stakes. It's comfort food with teeth.
