EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off 'Invasion, Mother,' which left F City in a state of total ruin, this episode leans into that destruction and uses the collapsed cityscape as a playground for its dystopian parody. At episode 23 of 26, the series is deep in its most ambitious and tonally dark stretch, testing how far its satirical framework can stretch. It directly feeds into the following episode, 'For You, I Could Die,' which shifts focus back to the Department of City Security and Excel's increasingly personal stakes amid the chaos.
