Synopsis

Koichi Asakura pours everything he has into his job as a designer at an ad agency, yet he gets basically nothing back. No praise, no recognition, just more work and the creeping feeling that maybe hard work alone isn't enough. After getting pulled off a project, he drifts back to a place tied to his past — and to Eren Yamagishi, a left-handed graffiti artist who's become something of a legend in New York's art scene. But being called a genius doesn't mean life is easy, and Eren carries her own weight from that label. This is a story about two people on opposite ends of the creative spectrum — one grinding away in obscurity, the other drowning under the expectations that come with talent — and how their paths once crossed and still echo through their lives. The tone is quiet and introspective, the kind of show that sits with you after an episode ends. It's less about art technique and more about what art costs the people who make it. If you liked Blue Period's honest look at chasing creative dreams, or the way Honey and Clover captures that aimless, aching feeling of figuring out who you are through your work, this hits a similar nerve. March Comes in Like a Lion fans will also feel at home with the emotional weight here. Production I.G and Signal.MD are handling the animation, so expect it to look gorgeous. Coming in 2026 as a TV series adapted from a web manga — worth keeping on your radar.

the narrative decision to have koichi cheat severely damages his likability but effectively highlights the flaws of men within the creative industry. the true highlight is sayuri's character study. subverting the expectation of her being a one-dimensional trope proves that the female cast possesses vastly superior characterization compared to the men.

im disappointed in koichi for cheating bruh i was rooting for him the entire time. i really thought sayuri was going to be a basic background character, but seeing her get so much depth this episode was a wonderful surprise! the girls in this show are just written so beautifully compared to the guys.

Oh Koichi, you fucker- he cheated!!!! but of course he did, what would you genuinely expect, but still don't date men in the creative industry guys... actually, don't date men at all. this ep we got a more in-depth story on Sayuri, I thought she was a very basic and non-complex character, but she really is such an interesting one. All the girls here have distinct personalities while the guys are just meh.
