Following the high-concept hook of episode one's chance encounter in Washington, 'Melancholic Monday' grounds the series in its real setting and central mystery — Akira's lost identity and the phone that holds billions. This is foundational worldbuilding for the eleven-episode run, establishing the post-missile-attack Japan and key dynamics between Akira, Saki, and Juiz that the remaining nine episodes will escalate into a full-blown conspiracy thriller.
