EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off 'Utterly Alone,' which zeroed in on isolation and individual disconnection, 'False Advertising' pivots toward weaving those separate character threads into Ikebukuro's larger interconnected narrative. At episode five of twenty-four, this is still early-season foundation work, but the show is clearly transitioning from introductions to consequences. It directly sets the table for 'Active Interest,' where the city's hidden dynamics begin demanding more active engagement from its players.
