EPISODE CONTEXT
Sitting at the midpoint of the 24-episode season, 'Turmoil Reigns' pivots away from the relative resolution of the first half and opens a new arc centered on the Slasher and the enigmatic Saika, fundamentally shifting the show's tension. It follows 'Takes A Sudden Turn,' which briefly suggested Ikebukuro might settle down, only for this episode to demolish that calm entirely.
