EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off 'Nursing Wounds' and the aftermath of the Saiyan Saga, this episode marks the official departure from Earth and the beginning of the journey to Namek. As a filler entry, it doesn't advance the source material, but it bridges the gap between the recovery phase and the high-stakes Namek arc that will dominate the next stretch of episodes. The space voyage setup here leads directly into the encounters and escalating dangers the crew will face before ever setting foot on Namek.
