EPISODE CONTEXT
Episode 106 lands in the immediate aftermath of Goku's legendary victory over Frieza, transitioning the Frieza Saga from its climactic battle into its emotional resolution phase. Everything that preceded this — the Spirit Bomb, the Super Saiyan transformation, the extended fight — funnels into this desperate escape scenario. The episode directly sets up 'Goku's Alive!!'
