Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Armed with nothing but rocks, sticks, and an encyclopedic knowledge of chemistry, Senku Ishigami has already rebuilt civilization from scratch — and now he's headed to the Amazon Rainforest to figure out why humanity got turned to stone in the first place — and maybe build a spaceship while he's at it. Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 2 picks up after Senku's team reaches a shaky ceasefire with Dr. Xeno, a rival scientist who's equal parts genius and threat. With Corn City established in North America as a foothold for the future, Senku pushes deeper into South America, chasing the epicenter of the petrification event. But Stanley Snyder, a genuinely dangerous military operative, is still on their trail, turning what could be a research expedition into a desperate survival run through one of the most hostile environments on Earth. The 12-episode TV series keeps that signature Dr. Stone balance — one moment Senku's explaining real metallurgy, the next someone's doing something absurdly reckless and funny. TMS Entertainment delivers on the visuals too, with the Amazon landscapes looking genuinely lush and immersive. If you liked the tension and mystery layering in Steins;Gate, or the way Made in Abyss turns exploration into something that feels both wondrous and dangerous, this scratches a similar itch. Fans of The Promised Neverland's cat-and-mouse dynamics will appreciate the Stanley pursuit as well. It's science, survival, and just enough comedy to keep things from getting too heavy.
