EPISODE CONTEXT
Following the intensity of 'Necromancer,' this fourth episode functions as a necessary exhale — pulling back from training and threat to examine the emotional wreckage the Ghoul conflict leaves behind. It deepens the stakes on a personal level before the series escalates again. 'Specular' directly sets up 'Seraphim,' where outside scrutiny arrives at Watcher's Nest in the form of a visiting reporter, making this episode's quieter character work feel all the more meaningful before secrecy becomes the next pressure point.
