📖 SYNOPSIS
Back in high school, Keiichirou Nagumo was a genius detective — solving cases the police couldn't touch. Now he's in his mid-thirties, can barely use a smartphone, and his office is collecting dust faster than clients. Enter Mashiro Nakanishi, a high school girl who barges in one day demanding to be his assistant, and she absolutely will not take no for an answer. What follows is a 12-episode comedy-mystery TV series where a washed-up detective and his self-appointed teenage apprentice stumble through cases that are equal parts absurd and genuinely clever. The real charm here is the generational friction — Keiichirou's old-school instincts clashing with Mashiro's modern energy creates this back-and-forth dynamic that carries every episode. LIDENFILMS adapted this from a seinen manga, and the gag humor lands without undermining the actual mystery elements. It knows when to be silly and when to let a case breathe. If you liked the cozy detective vibes of Hyouka but wanted something goofier, or if Detective Conan's premise appeals to you but you'd rather watch a grown man struggle with technology while a teenager runs circles around him, this is your show. Think of it as a buddy-cop comedy where one buddy didn't ask for the other and the other refuses to leave. The mysteries won't keep you up at night, but the dynamic between these two genuinely will keep you watching.
