D.C.S.S. ~Da Capo Second Season~
Oshimeter
Synopsis
On a small island once famous for cherry trees blooming year-round, Jun'ichi Asakura has watched that magic quietly disappear — two years ago, the trees just... stopped. Life has settled into a comfortable routine until a girl named Aisia shows up at his door in the middle of a storm, convinced he can teach her magic. She's wrong about that, but she's determined, and her arrival starts pulling at threads in Jun'ichi's friendships and relationships that nobody quite expected. D.C.S.S. is the second season of Da Capo, and while it works as a standalone watch, it carries a lot of warmth for the characters built in the first season. It's a harem romance set against a supernatural backdrop — cherry trees, old magic, a mysterious island — but it leans more into the emotional and character-driven side than anything flashy. The tone is mostly gentle and comedic, with dramatic moments that sneak up on you. If you've worked through Kanon or Clannad and want something in that same neighborhood — melancholy island setting, a guy surrounded by memorable girls, feelings that build slowly — this fits that space comfortably. Fans of Shuffle! will also recognize the DNA here. Studio feel. keeps the visuals soft and the pacing unhurried across its 26 episodes. It's not trying to shake anything up; it's the kind of show you watch when you want something quietly affecting.
