馃摉 SYNOPSIS
"Chibi Maruko-chan Movie" centers on Maruko, a sweetly obnoxious nine-year-old girl who experiences life much like any other child. She frequently tricks her grandfather, struggles with how to spend her allowance, and dislikes sitting next to boys she deems unattractive. The story unfolds as the second term starts, reuniting Maruko with her classmates, including two mischievous boys who make her their subordinate.
As the school prepares for its athletic meet, Maruko and her classmates dedicate themselves to exercise, though Maruko's laziness sometimes causes her to be late. During this time, Maruko observes the competitive nature of the two boys, realizing the depth and strength of their friendship. The film explores themes of childhood, friendship, and the everyday experiences of a young girl.
