EPISODE CONTEXT
Episode 8's devastating ambush on the Devil Hunters was a turning point for the season, and Episode 9 exists entirely in its fallout — making it the critical bridge between the attack and the final act. Makima's characterization deepens significantly here, reframing earlier interactions and raising the stakes heading into the final three episodes. This is the pivot where Chainsaw Man transitions from building its world to detonating it.
