π SYNOPSIS
The anime follows Son-Goku, a monkey born from a stone and gifted with extraordinary magical abilities. His initial exuberance leads to a destructive rampage, culminating in his confinement within Mt. Gogyo. Years later, he is rescued by the monk Sanzohoshi. To atone for his past actions, Son-Goku agrees to accompany Sanzohoshi on a pilgrimage to India. Their journey is fraught with peril, as they encounter a variety of monstrous creatures who seek to impede their progress. The series explores themes of self-improvement, the power of companionship, and the trials faced on a long and arduous quest.
