EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming directly off George's critical injury in episode 3, 'Dangerous Boy' deals with the raw, immediate consequences of that event and how it fractures the people closest to him — particularly Kai. As episode 4 of 50, this is still deep in the series' opening movement, establishing the emotional foundations and character drives that will carry across the long run. It directly sets the stage for episode 5, 'Beyond the Dark Forest,' by escalating tensions and pushing Saya further toward her inevitable role in the larger conflict.
