EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off the events of 'Moon Over Ekaterinburg,' where Saya and her allies were actively pursuing the Chiropteran threat abroad, 'Broken Heart' pivots inward to explore the psychological toll of that pursuit — functioning as a critical turning point at the series' approaching midpoint. The revelations and emotional fractures introduced here feed directly into the next episode, 'Chevalier,' where consequences begin cascading forward. This is a bridge episode in the best sense: essential connective tissue between the action-driven arcs surrounding it.
