Episodes one through eight handled world-building, the magic knight entrance exam, and Asta and Noelle's rocky introduction to the Black Bulls — this is where that setup pays its first dividend. 'Beasts' marks the squad's first field mission, a critical pivot from initiation to action that tests whether these characters can function under pressure.
