EPISODE CONTEXT
Following 'Dragon,' which pulled the team back into danger through Miyako Asami's disappearance, 'Nectar' marks the series' halfway point by escalating the threat behind that mystery into something far more disturbing. Dr. Umezaki's experiments are brought into full, grim focus here, shifting the series from investigative tension into body-horror territory. This episode directly sets up 'Soul,' where the confrontation with Umezaki is expected to reach its critical breaking point.
