The regeneration power system is more interesting than it sounds — it's not just a get-out-of-death-free card, and the show uses it to raise the stakes in ways that feel earned rather than cheap. If you got into the psychological survival elements of Evil or Live, or you like the ensemble dynamics and layered scheming of Mo Dao Zu Shi, this scratches a similar itch but leans harder into the action-packed death game angle. There's a bit of that Thunderbolt Fantasy energy too, where the spectacle keeps escalating and the conspiracies run deeper than you'd expect.
